Does anyone else ever get overloaded by the number of recipes out there? Because I read so many food blogs, I feel as though I’m finding cool recipes all the time – multiple ones a day. And then I have fantastic cook books at home. And then I get the Vegetarian Times magazine….I can’t keep up!
Much like when I walk into a bookstore, I then get overwhelmed and paralyzed. So usually what I do is pick one medium to choose recipes from in a given week. All blog recipes, all magazine recipes, all cookbook recipes, etc.
So this week, I am making recipes from Moosewood Restaurant Cooks at Home, one of my favorite cookbooks of all time. If you haven’t checked out the Moosewood cookbook series, I highly recommend it. I’m also planning a trip out to Ithaca sometime in the near future to make it to their restaurant.
So here’s what’s on tap for the week for dinner:
- Gingered Greens and Seitan
- Mediterranean Lentil Salad
- Red, Gold, Black and Green Chili
- African Pineapple Peanut Stew
- Sweet Potato Quesadillas
I know that’s only 5 meals for an entire week, but I like to leave some flexibility for meals out/throwing things together/picking a new recipe midweek!
In order to motivate me to post more photos, I will commit to blogging every single one of these recipes this week! Let me know what you think.
Until next time!
